Article Summary

This study aimed to examine the effects of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) on soft and hard tissue healing after endodontic surgery.

Seventy-six cases were included, with patients randomly assigned to a control or laser group. The laser group received GaAlAs diode laser therapy immediately after surgery and for 7 days thereafter.

The results showed that the laser group had superior outcomes, including reduced edema, improved wound healing, decreased pain, and enhanced life quality measures. Additionally, hard tissue healing was significantly improved in the laser group.

In conclusion, LLLT was found to have positive effects on both the physical and psychological aspects of healing in patients undergoing endodontic surgery.
